15th ECHEMS finished, 16th ECHEMS goes to Italy

The 15th edition of the ECHEMS meeting has just finished in Aspenäs Herrgård on the shores of Lake Aspen in Lerum, Sweden.

At the end of the meeting, the chair of the 15th ECHEMS, Helena Lundberg, announced that the next meeting in the series, 16th ECHEMS in 2028, will also be organised on the shores of a lake. This time Lake Garda in the Italian Alps. The meeting will be organised by Serena Arnaboldi from the University of Milan in Palazzo Feltrinelli overlooking the lake.

ECHEMS 15 just around the corner.

Tomorrow the 15th ECHEMS meeting opens at Aspenäs herrgård just outside of Göteborg, Sweden.

The focus of the meeting is “Molecular electrochemistry in complex systems”, including, but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Industrially relevant applications: from detail to scale
  • Molecular transformations with engineered electrodes
  • Electrochemically driven chiral molecular transformations
  • Electrochemical transformations of macromolecular compounds
  • Mechanistic studies of electrochemical molecular transformations

The meeting features many excellent speakers, such as Anna Wuttig, University of Chicago, USA; Nicolas Plumeré, TU Munich, Germany; Alina Sekretareva, Uppsala University, Sweden; Alastair Lennox, University of Bristol, UK; Julie Macpherson, University of Warwick, UK; Nicolas Kaeffer, University of Strasbourg, France; Timothy Noël, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands; Johannes Röckl, AstraZeneca, UK, and many more.

Finally a new meeting

After a long break, mainly because of the pandemic, we are happy to announce that ECHEMS is back!

The next meeting will be organised by Nicolas Plumeré and Siegfried Waldvogel from Technical University Munich. Unusually, the meeting will be organised in the autumn, 28th till 31st October, 2024 in the historical and remote location of the TUM Academy Center in Raitenhaslach at the German/Austrian border.

The people doing the heavy lifting in the organising committee are Kelly Lim-Trinh and Nadine Ternes.
