Project for development of microfluidic cells

In a consortium together with the company redox.me, the Norwegian research institute SINTEF, and Robert Bogdanowicz’s group at Gdańsk University of Technology we submitted a project to the POLNOR call, financed by the EEA and Norway Grants through The National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR). The project, which is aimed at developing new microfluidic electrochemistry equipment, was written very quickly during a hectic week in December last year and submitted a cool 14 minutes before the deadline.

Now we found out that it was recommended for financing. Yay! The total budget of the project, with the acronym UPTURN, is a little shy of 1.5 M€. The lion part goes to the leader, redox.me, but about 200k€ will go to our group. For that money we will hire a PhD student and a postdoc. More information about those jobs will appear on our jobs-page as soon as we know more about when we will start.
