Here’s a short update on what we’ve been doing lately
- Emilia gave a talk at the Polish Scientific Network meeting in Łódź. Her talk, with the title “Machine learning techniques for neurobiological data anlysis” was awarded as the best talk in the Translational Neuroscience track. Congratulations!
The talk is available on youtube:

The meeting had the subtitle “From calculations to experiments in chemistry and biology”, so Martin’s talk was entitled “Electrochemistry in motion – simulations and experiments.”.
The second talk was at the summer school New Frontiers in Photonics in Gdańsk. Here he gave a talk, mostly based on work done by Mateusz Śmietana from Warsaw University of Technology, about Optical Fiber Sensors and Biosensors. - Julia Maciejewska, one of our bachelor students from the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, defended her thesis with flying colours. The thesis with the title “Using ionophores for electrochemical reactions in single droplets” got the highest grade and Julia passed her oral exam without hesitation. Very well done! Julia will continue her research into ion-transfer in our group over the summer as an intern.
