A second paper from Dawid’s visit to Bath was just published. This is mostly the work of Sunyhik and describes a new type of electrode made from carbon microspheres bound together by polystyrene. The electrode is very easy to make and was in this case used as a porous carbon electrode for creating a large three-phase junction for oil analysis. In this case it was used for determining the presence of quinizarin as a model system.
The paper was published in Electroanalysis (doi: 10.1002/elan.201400609). A free preprint version is available here.
